.ECO Domains

Anyone can register a .ECO domain, but you must activate it by creating a .ECO profile with the registry before you can start using it. The registry emails the activation link to the registrant after registration.

.ECO is a regulated TLD, so the requirements for regulated TLDs in the Domain Registration Agreement also apply.

How do I activate a .ECO domain?

Activate your .ECO domain
  1. Register your .ECO domain.
  2. Look for an email from activate@profiles.eco with the subject line Activate [yourdomain].eco. It is sent to the registrant’s email address.
  3. Follow the link in the email to create your .ECO profile at profiles.eco.
  4. Answer the basic profile questions: who you are, where you are located, and the areas of sustainability you focus on.
  5. Take the .ECO pledge. Once you finish, you can start using the domain.

The activation email usually arrives right after registration, but it can take two hours or more. If it does not arrive, use the registry’s Resend activation email tool, or read How do I get my .eco profile activation email?.
