A .XXX domain needs a .XXX community ID from the registry before it resolves. You can enter the ID when you register, or add it later after the registry emails you.
How do I make a .XXX domain resolve?
The .XXX registration form has an optional field.
- If you have a community ID, enter it when you register the domain.
- If you do not have one, you can leave the field empty. After the domain is registered, the registry emails the registrant. Once you have your ID, contact support to add it to the domain.
The domain does not resolve until a community ID is provided. The registry’s rules for .XXX domains are in its published policies.
Note
The registry contacts the registrant directly about the community ID, so make sure the registrant contact has a working email address.
How do I change the community ID on a .XXX domain?
Contact support to change the community ID for a .XXX domain. A change of registrant also needs a community ID for the new registrant.
