Any person or organization with a connection to the Alsace region of France can register a .ALSACE domain. You do not need to send proof when you register, but the registry can ask for it at any time.
Who can register a .ALSACE domain?
Any natural or legal person can register, renew, and use a .ALSACE domain, as long as the registrant has a connection to Alsace when registering and keeps it afterward. Any of these counts as a connection:
- Residence in Alsace
- Business, personal, commercial, or cultural activity in Alsace
- A direct or indirect link to Alsace, such as an economic, social, cultural, or historical one
The registry decides what evidence it accepts. It does not have to publish or explain its decision.
