Anyone can register a .CM domain, but two registry rules catch people out: changing name servers too often locks the domain for four weeks, and a .CM domain that is not renewed in time is deleted and cannot be restored.
How often can I change .CM name servers?
If the name servers of a .CM domain are changed more than three to four times in a month, the registry sets the domain to serverUpdateProhibited for the next four weeks. During that time, no further changes can be made to the domain.
What happens if a .CM domain expires?
Warning
.CM domains cannot be restored. The registry deletes a .CM domain that is not renewed two days before its expiration date. There is no grace period or redemption period for .CM domains. Keep auto-renewal on to avoid losing the domain.
