.JOBS domains are for companies, not individuals. When you register one, you give your company’s website and industry, and the .JOBS registry reviews the application before the domain is registered.

Who can register a .JOBS domain?

• Companies only. Personal registrations are not allowed.
• No “jobs” in the name. The name cannot include the string jobs. For example, you can register mycompany.jobs, but not mycompanyjobs.jobs.

What information do I need to register a .JOBS domain?

The .JOBS registration form asks for:

• Company URL (required): an existing website of your company. If possible, use the same name as the domain you are registering, under a different TLD.
• Industry type: a short description of your company, up to 128 characters.

The registry uses the company URL to check your connection to the name, so make sure it is correct.

What happens after I register a .JOBS domain?

DNSimple forwards your application to the .JOBS registry for review. The domain shows as pending until the registry approves it.

If the registry cannot verify your connection to the name, it may ask for more documentation. DNSimple will notify you with instructions. To send documents to the registry, email them to support@goto.jobs with the domain name in the subject line.
