Anyone can register a .NL domain. .NL domains can only be renewed with auto-renewal, and a .NL domain that is not renewed is deleted when it expires, with no grace period.
Who can register a .NL domain?
.NL domains are open to individuals and organizations worldwide.
Organizations registered in the Netherlands may need to provide a KVK number (Dutch Chamber of Commerce registration number) and company registration details.
If the registrant’s address is outside the Netherlands, the registry, SIDN, uses its own address as the registrant’s domicile address so it can forward official documents.
How do I renew a .NL domain?
.NL domains can only be renewed with auto-renewal. Keep auto-renewal on and a valid payment method on file.
Warning
A .NL domain that is not renewed is deleted when it expires. It can be restored for 40 days after deletion, for a restore fee.
