DNSimple accepts credit and debit cards for account subscriptions and purchases. Enterprise customers can also pre-pay purchases through a digital wallet, and invoiced accounts can arrange payment by wire transfer or check.

Every account has one card on file that DNSimple uses to collect subscription renewals and purchases. To update it, see Changing Payment Details.

Credit and debit cards

A credit or debit card is the default payment method. DNSimple charges the card on file for subscription renewals and for purchases such as domain registrations and certificates.

  • Card payments are processed through Stripe.
  • Account owners and members with Full Access can change the card on file at any time.
  • If a card payment fails, the invoice is marked failed or dunned and DNSimple retries it automatically.

Digital wallet

Enterprise customers can add funds to a digital wallet and draw from that balance for future purchases, such as domain registrations, renewals, transfers, and certificates. The wallet accepts ACH, wire transfer, and card payments for adding funds.

For funding steps, replenishment budgets, and low-balance alerts, see Digital Wallet Replenishment.

Wire transfer and check

Invoiced accounts can pay by wire transfer or check instead of a card. These options are arranged through your account manager and are typically used by Enterprise clients.

Note

Wire payments must be paid within 30 days of receiving the invoice. To discuss different payment terms, contact your account manager.

Changing your payment method

To replace the card on file, see Changing Payment Details. For separate billing information, such as a company name or billing email on your invoices, see Billing Settings.
